1. A NOTE ON STRONG LIMIT THEOREMS FOR PAIRWISE NQD RANDOM VARIABLES
by Daying Zhu, Weiguo Yang & Rong Gao
Abstract

In this note, we point out that one of Sung's results of strong law of large numbers for pairwise NQD random variables (Sung, Communications in Statistics-Theory and Methods, 2013, 42: 3965-3973 ) is a special case of one of Yang's results of strong limit theorems for arbitrary stochastic sequences (Yang, J. Math. Anal. Appl, 2007, 326: 1445-1451).

2. APPLICATION OF SEMI-ACTIVE SUSPENSION SYSTEM WITH FRICTION DAMPER AND ELECTROMAGNETIC DRIVE ON MOTORCYCLES

by rash Riazian & Soheyl Zarkandy

Abstract

This paper investigates the effect of using semi-active suspension system with damper friction and electromagnetic drive on motorcycles. The advantages of this system can be pointed out to be the increased passenger comfort and safety. The cost of using this system is also affordable and can be offered it as an option on motorcycles. The model used in this paper was half-vehicle model that it is a complete model for motorcycles. Therefore, the effect of front and rear wheels is investigated simultaneously on suspension status and comfort criteria of passenger. In addition, in order to reduce its self-active vibration (chattering) a balance control logic approach is used to remove the chatter.

3. WAVES IN A VISCOELASTIC CYLINDER WITH RADIAL CRACKS
by Ismoil Ibragimovich Safarov, Axmedov Maqsud Sharipovich & Boltaev Zafar Ixtiyorovich
Abstract

The method of solution of tasks about spreading of waves in infinite cylinder with a radial crack is described. Viscous properties of a material are considered by means of integrated operator of Voltaire. Research is conducted within the limits of the spatial theory of viscously elasticity. The technique is based on division of spatial variables and formulation of an edge task on the own values which are solved by the method of orthogonal prerace of Godunov. Numerical values of a real and imaginary part of phase speed depending on wave numbers are received. Coincidence of numerical results with known data is received at this.
